I love to grill! It is so yummy aaannd it keeps the mess out of my kitchen. I have these neat grilling pans that resemble a deep-fryer basket. When I bought them, I had visions of beautifully cooked veggies and meats coming off the grill straight to my table.
The first time I used them, my expectations were perfectly met until it came time to clean up. I discovered that my grilling pans were just as hard, if not harder, to clean than the dreaded deep-fryer basket. Needless to say, my cute little grill pans didn't get used nearly as often as I intended.
I got them out the other day and decided to grill fajitas. Once again, the meal was wonderful and then I remembered why it had been so long since I had used the pans. The gunk that cooks into those little cracks and crevices drives me batty because it is almost impossible, short of using a power washer, to remove. I was once again wondering why I was bothering with the grill pans. Then, the lightbulb went off. Try your Thieves cleaner!
I got out my little short bristled brush and put a little Thieves on it straight and started scrubbing the pan. The gunk and grime almost melted off! In about 2 minutes, I had two sparkling clean pans. I am thinking now that my grill is big enough to hold one more pan.
I love this cleaner. I used to have cabinets loaded with varying cleaning products. I had a different product for each application, and ALL of them were harsh and full of toxic chemicals.
Even after a rinse, the items cleaned smelled like the products used. Those were lingering chemicals on the surfaces of my home. Lingering endocrine disrupting, toxic chemicals I was putting into my body daily. Who would like some grilled veggies with a glaze of toxic sludge? Not me.
When the grand babies came around, and I realized that child locks are a joke, I went on a search for a safer option. I found Young Living through a friend, and started using the Thieves line immediately.
I went through a drawn-out kitchen remodel and did not have doors on my kitchen cabinets for almost two years. (Long, crazy story of unfortunate events there) During that time, I had to try to keep the grand babies out of the cleaning supplies. I wasn't afraid of them getting their hands on the product - I just didn't want to have to clean up a mess. I didn't have to worry about the teething baby chewing on the spray bottle of thieves.
I love that out of a single 14.4oz bottle, I can get up to 29 bottles of cleaner. When diluted properly, and not used irresponsibly, that makes the awesome cleaning power of thieves even more affordable than the cleaner I bought off the store shelves.
As I get older, I am letting more and more things go. I have donated and dumped truck loads of items from all over my home and attic storage. Minimalism isn't quite my goals, but I don't like extra clutter. This is another area where Thieves is able to come through for me. It's the only thing I need!
Under my sink I have a couple of different spray bottles, diluted for different uses, some white vinegar and Norwex rags. Seriously! That's all I need, even in my home on the range.
