Genesis Wellness Podcast, Season 1 Episode 7
Today my friend Ladonna took the time to be on my podcast. She is an amazing woman who really does it all, and I’m incredibly thankful she was willing to share some of her wisdom with me.
I’ve known Ladonna for around six years now, but she and my mom have actually been friends for decades, and were both involved in the Oklahoma home education community.
Ladonna’s advice and guidance was a HUGE encouragement to me when I was struggling at the beginning of my own wellness journey. I would get discouraged, and she would have to tell me the same thing over, and over again. Eventually, it stuck. I’ll forever be grateful for her friendship and love and prayers she offered me.
Ladonna is a pastor’s wife from rural Oklahoma, and is a mother of four and a grandmother of six. She is a Diamond leader in Young Living and has grown her team by sharing her own wellness story and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
As a member of her team, one thing we often speak about is the vital importance of a healthy diet. You CAN NOT out oil, out supplement or out exercise an unhealthy (standard American) diet.
Young Living products are a huge part of both our lives, but they are not heavily featured in this conversation. There are many options we recommend to support your healthy lifestyle, and to enhance your efforts to take care of your body. If you would like more information on that, I’d be happy to talk to you.
On this episode, we talk about individual health. We squash some misconceptions and give some resources for starting a grain and sugar free lifestyle for yourself.
We also deviate a little to discuss a topic that’s been more publicized lately, but that really needs some extra attention. Human trafficking, and sexual exploitation [especially of children].
It‘s a topic that’s incredibly hard to talk about, because we don’t want to believe that it happens. I know I would personally be happier if I were blissfully unaware of it.
Not everyone is called or equipped to physically help with the effort to stop human trafficking, but we provide some places that you can donate. These organizations actively support and fund the efforts of those working on the front lines of this humanitarian crisis. Young Living Foundation
