Have you ever gotten essential oils in your eye? If you have, you know that it isn't at all pleasant. The burning sensation can be pretty bad, and if you are wearing makeup, you will probably have to re apply. I have unwittingly rubbed my eyes after handling Thieves, or after cleaning some goo off something with lemon. OUCH!
Luckily, we all know (or, you do now) that while the burn may feel bad, essential oils (Young Living essential oils, which are 100% pure, with no additives) will not harm your eye.

This is great news, YL Essential oils will not harm my eye, but how do you get the oil out? (It's still pretty uncomfortable) NEVER USE WATER TO GET OILS OUT OF YOUR EYE. Your eye has a watery coating on it, so when oils get into your eye, they float on top and stay in a pretty localized area. (until you rub them that is) If you try to use water to flush your eye, you will only spread the oil and irritate more of your eye.
I'm taking you back to middle school science class, and we are going to talk about like attracting like for a minute. The best (only) way to quickly stop the burning sensation is to use a carrier oil such as olive oil, coconut oil etc. Now, when I first heard this I imagined holding my eye open and literally dropping oil into my eye. This won't hurt you but I was glad to find out that there is a much easier, less messy option.
Here is what you do: Grab a Q-Tip or a Kleenex (this acts as a wick) and dip it in the carrier oil. Put the oily portion of the wick into the corner of your eye. This will draw (like attracts like) the essential oil to the wick, and remove it from your eye. You can do this a couple of times until you have all the oil out. It will usually stop hurting right away.
